James Grady was born on April 30, 1949, in Shelby, Montana. He graduated from The University of Montana School of Journalism in 1974. James Grady sold his first novel, Six Days of the Condor, at age twenty-four, which was made into the motion picture, “Three Days of the Condor,” in 1975.
